
Dr. M. G. Sreekumar is a senior academic leader and library professional who has played a pivotal role in providing strategic direction, vision, and leadership in building state-of-the-art library and knowledge services.
He has served as Adjunct Professor in Humanities and Liberal Arts in Management at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) and was also the Chief Information Officer of the Institute. Under his leadership, the library and learning resources team at IIM Kozhikode received the prestigious Wiley Award 2015 for “Digitally Transformed Academic Library in India.”
Dr. Sreekumar was the Chief Architect of the Indian Business Museum at IIM Kozhikode, a nationally significant initiative inaugurated and dedicated to the nation in 2013. His scholarly contributions and leadership in the field of information science have been widely recognized both in India and internationally.
A recipient of the Sir Ratan Tata Scholarship, Dr. Sreekumar pursued advanced research in Indian Business History at Harvard University, including the Harvard Business School and the Harvard South Asia Institute, where he is also a Fellow.
He serves on the editorial boards of several national and international journals in digital libraries and information science and is a peer reviewer and referee for reputed, indexed academic journals. Dr. Sreekumar is a serving member of the Academic Advisory Boards of EBSCO Information Services (USA), Cambridge University Press (UK)—both the Global and South Asia Boards—and the Advisory Board of Princeton University Press.
Dr. Sreekumar is also a Fulbright Scholar in Library & Information Science and completed his fellowship at the University of Maryland and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, during 1996–97.
